What Is The History of Ramzan
Many Muslims today have a misconception about fasting and activities of a person during fasting. They enter a semi-hibernating state, wasting most hours of light. If they respect Allah (swt), they wake up for salat, but return immediately. This unnatural dream makes them lazy, clumsy and often lose the real notion of things.Ramadan is really a time of increased activity where Muslims, now eased from the burden of eating and drinking, must be more eager to fight against Allah.
The Prophet (saas) passed Ramadan nine times after the Hegira. But they were full of decisive events and left us a shining example of sacrifice and submission to Allah.
On the seventeenth day of Ramadan of 3 DH, Allah (SWT) separated the truth from the lie in the Great Battle of Badr. The Prophet (s), and 313 of his companions allowed to join one of his caravans who had left Mecca. It was guided by Abu Sufyan, and its value was about 50,000 dinars. They met an army well equipped with the nobility of the Korahis, who tried to dissipate the light of Islam. Despite being three to one and weak and tired, the Muslims defended themselves with an ardent desire to protect the Prophet (sas) and meet their Lord by martyrdom.
In 6 DH, Said ibn Haritha was sent to Wadi al-Qura to head a detachment to confront Fatima bint Rabiah, the queen of this region. Fatima had previously attacked a caravan carried by Said and had managed to get the spoils. She was known to be the most protected woman in Arabia, as she was also known in her hostility towards Islam. She was killed in a battle against these Muslims in the month of Ramadan.

In Ramadan of 8 DH, the Hudaibiyya treaty was broken and the Muslim armies faced the Byzantines in the North. Mohammad (SAS), felt the need to make a fatal blow to skepticism in the Arabian Peninsula and conquer the city of Mecca. Allah has declared his sanctuary a place of peace, security and blessing. It was now time to purify the Ka'ba and rid it of nakedness and abomination. The Prophet (sas) has left the largest army that Medina has ever seen. The people thickened the lines of the army as it approached Mecca. The determination of the Muslims, guided by the desire of Allah (swt), was so imposing that the city of Mecca was conquered without a fight on the twentieth day of Ramadan. This was one of the most important dates in Islamic history, for after that time Islam was firmly anchored in the Arabian Peninsula. During the same month and the year, after the destruction of the idols of Mecca, detachments were sent to the other major centers of polytheism and al-Lat, Manat and Suwa, some of the greatest idols of Arabia Been destroyed. Ramadan Festival History
Back in 582 cv, Salah ad-din Al-Ayyubi, after fighting with the Crusaders for years, finally expelled them from Syria and lands occupied in the month of Ramadan. The Muslim world would face one of the most terrible challenges. In the 7th century DH, the Mongols invaded all Asia and destroyed everything that hindered their way. Genghis Kan called "the scourge of God sent to punish mankind for his sins." In 617 DH, Samarkanda, Ray and Hamdan were taken away and their inhabitants passed through a knife over 700,000 people were killed or in captivity. In 656 DH, Hulagu, grandson of Genghis Kan, continued this destruction. Even Baghdad, the main city of the Muslim world, has been plundered. Some estimations estimate that about 1,800,000 Muslims were killed in this formidable massacre. Christians were invited to eat pork and drink wine openly while the surviving Muslims were forced to participate in drinking orgies. The wine was scattered in the mosques and Adzan (called salat) was not allowed. Faced with such a horrible disaster and with the entire Muslim world threatened and Europe subjected to the same fate, Allah (swt) raised the mamelins, under the command of Saif Ad-din Qutz of Egypt, who united the army Muslim and clashed with the Muslims. Mongolians in Ain Jalut on the twenty-fifth day of Ramadan. Under great pressure, the Muslims with the help of Allah, and with a skillful and courageous strategy crushed the Mongolian army and arrested this wave of terror. The whole civilized world sighed with relief and admired the realization of these noble sons of Islam.
It was the Ramadan spirit that allowed our ancestors to face seemingly impossible challenges. It was a moment of intense activity, spend the day in the saddle and the night at Salat, asking Allaah for grace and forgiveness.
Today, the Muslim world is confronted with emptiness, armed aggression, widespread corruption and tempting materialism. Certainly, we need Muslims who can follow in the footsteps of our Prophet (sas), the Sahaba nobles, Saif Qutuz, Salah Ad-Din and so many others who strove for Islam. Of course, we need Muslims who do not fear the threats of the unbeliever, the Muslims whose fast is complete and which are not only a source of hunger and thirst.
May Allaah raise a generation of Muslims who can bring Islam into all parts of the globe and provide strength and success. May Allah be among those who follow Islam during and after Ramadan.
